Wrath of the Titans VFX Breakdown

Just like it’s predecessor ‘Clash of the Titans‘, the second movie in the Titans Series, ‘Wrath of the Titans‘, turned out to be no more than mere eye-candy. Somehow the very concept of telling a good story and good character development gets sidelined to the use of larger than life CGI, in these effects heavy movies, of which there are a ton.

Even though the movie itself is very bland and didn’t make me feel any emotion towards the people of it’s mythological world or any threat from the evil that plagued them, no one can question the amount of work that goes into building these extraordinary worlds. To that end MPC is one of the leading companies that bring the magic to life through their Awesome use of Visual Effects in Movies. MPC VFX Supervisor Gary Brozenich and Producer Oliver Money led MPC’s team delivering 280 shots for the movie. MPC’s main areas of work included; the opening Dream Sequence, the Chimera attack, the final battle with Kronos, the Makhai warriors and Pegasus, as well as the Gods dying and dissolving, full CG temples, set extensions and a number of stunning DMP’s throughout.
