300: Rise Of An Empire (2014) Trailer

‘300: Rise Of An Empire’ follows-up on the events of the first film. After the fall of Leonidas’ 300, the Persian army went on to to attack other greek states like Themistocles and Artemisia of Caria. The film looks to maintain the style and grit of the original, in this surprisingly action packed trailer, with the return of Lena Headey as Queen Gorgo out to avenge the death of her husband and introducing the lovely Eva Green as the Naval Chief in service of the God King Xerxes.

The film will also cover some of the backstory of Xerxes, played by Rodrigo Santoro, reprising his role as the digitally enhanced, 15 foot tall mammoth, and will explain how he became “the God King“.

Synopsis – After its victory over Leonidas’ 300, the Persian Army under the command of Xerxes marches south towards the major Greek city-states. The Democratic city of Athens, first on the path of Xerxes’ army, bases its strength on its fleet, led by admiral Themistocles. Themistocles is forced to an unwilling alliance with the traditional rival of Athens, oligarchic Sparta whose might lies with its superior infantry troops. But Xerxes still reigns supreme in numbers over sea and land.
